We recently held our annual golf day on the 23rd of September 2022 generously hosted by Palmerstown House Estate golf club and sponsored by FAKRO roof windows. Just over a year after our first enjoyable outing the day was once again led by our Head of golf and our Leinster Sales Manager, Andrew Cooke. The day took the format of a scramble which gave every individual a chance to enjoy the 7,419 yard challenging course at Palmerstown House Estate. It was a typical September overcast day with the sun shining through the clouds in parts. We were lucky to only get two bursts of rain which meant the conditions were perfect to play on and all participants were were able to enjoy the course

Participating in the event was a strong mix of staff and some of our customers. The standard was high amongst the participants and it reflected on the final scores which had a number of teams competing for the top 3 prize winning spots. This year, the fist and second place had to be decided on their last 9 holes as both teams finished on an impressive 58.6. There was also prizes for the longest drive and the closest to the pin with both being won by very substantial and impressive margins.

To finish off the day, golfers were treated to a delicious meal in the fabulous Sindons Bar and Restaurant terrace. The recently refurbished conservatory provided a scenic setting for our participants to enjoy their meal overlooking the 18th hole and our magnificent FAKRO balloon. All in all it was a fantastic day out enjoyed by all and its safe to say we can’t wait to welcome our staff and clients back onto the course next year.
